I found your "Listerlandet - Listerslægten" web site when I searched for my Swedish ancestors from Mjällby, Blekinge, Sweden. It has many details about my ancestors which I have been working hard to find in the church books.

My great grandfather was Elias Jönsson (born 1866, Mörby No. 131).
He emigrated to North America, 6 May 1885. He changed his name to Eli Christopher. He became an American citizen, 1 Oct 1897, at Minneapolis, Hennepin, Minnesota, United States. His brothers, Christoffer, Knut and sister, Pella, also emigrated to the United States. All of them changed their family name to Christopher, because Christoffer Jönsson, the first to emigrate, changed his name to John Christopher. Eli died, 8 Apr 1913, in Minneapolis. His only child, Clinton James Christopher, was my grandfather.
